    training with an injury

Do yall think if I have a shoulder injury I need to take time off from everything? I can do legs without it hurting as well as some back and arms. There's a few exercises where I can feel it but it doesn't hurt. I'm not sure how I injured it but it mostly hurts on pressing movements with chest and shoulders. I can do flys and raises to a certain extent. Just wanted to see what everyones opinions are on training with an injury. I've heard different theories on how the whole body needs to rest or you can train and go light on the injured muscle to get blood moving thru it.

They say u might be better of pushing past the pain.
If your case where the severity of the pain is way to much, i reckon take little time off, still go gym but cut down the amount of days u go, and do really light on ya shoulder exercises.
See your gp and go from there.

Never push past the pain, rest it and come back better.

After training for while you will find that you almost always have some type of injury.

Injuries always seem to be when you get to a strong point too. Thanks for the reply boys! I've been taking a lot of time off anyways, maybe getting to the gym 2 or 3 days a week if I'm lucky. I work 60 hours a week and hardly have time to train or even eat. I'm starting a regular work schedule this week so I'm gonna start back at the gym 4 days a week. I actually did chest the other day, fairly light and finally didn't have much pain. Only on certain movements. After this injury I'm gonna start training smarter and leave my ego at the door. It sucks being out of the gym
