Ok so today during chest work out at the very end I decided to bust out some weighted dips ( body weight plus 90 lb dumbell strapped with chain belt) and yes I know now how dangerous dips are after doing some research. I have looked into the sticky shoulder injury post but didnt find everything I need: Is this possibly serious and what should i do ( the rest ice elevate etc part)
I don't remember any noticeable pain while I was doing the dip moves ( i did 3 sets of 10) if anything i remember my tricepts hurting more at my elbow joint but nothing huge
As the day went on my shoulder really started to hurt at the point between the delt and the trap (where that bone sticks up a bit a little on the front side of the delt/trap. It hurts really bad to do a pushup / raise or move my left arm. I took my shirt off after getting home from night class and there is a freaking bruise on the spot that hurts and I do not bruise easily at all.
Im worried its a tear... does a bruise necessarily mean a tear or could it be less serious... i would hate it to be a perm injury but really the main thing is what should I do now.
Thanks for replies I was on this message board a ton during highschool and then kinda faded off ( no gear use since) so ive just been reading the boards not posting since then
