    needle breaking off in muscle?

    just wondering if this has ever happend to someone? i mean i hear not to go all the way in, in the case that the needle may break off in you.... i just dont see how thats possible though. Ive taken a used pin(both insulin and 25/23 gauge) and bent it all the way 90 degrees just to test it.


    kinnda off the wall question but curiousity got the best of me i guess..

    I go in for weekly knee injections. Same question came to mind as I watched this hot chic bury over an inch of needle under my knee cap. If it broke off under the bone, how would they get it out? It was just a flash thought. Too busy 'mirin the hottie in front of me.

    You wanna see crazy needle manipulation ? Watch youtube video of guys arm that blewup . He was sticking a bent ass needle in his bicep pulling out the infection .

    Heard of it, but dont believe it. I had a pin break that I used to draw my bac water with in the vial. It was almost a year old, bent like 10 times and restraightened, I dont think a fresh pin will break.

    yah, I've tested it before (but with a fresh pin).

    you have to exert ALOT of force to even bend it,

    So I really don't think it would break off in your body.

    Try and break one...Its really not that easy...It would have to be a pretty faulty needle to bust off in your muscle.
