Thread: When Running Long Ester Test: Common mistake to over or under eat?

  1. #1

Exclamation When Running Long Ester Test: Common mistake to over or under eat?

For those who've done multiple long ester test cycles, were you more likely to regret not consuming enough protein/calories while on cycle and it restricted your gains or that you ate too much and gained too much fat?

Or did you feel you got the right amount of calories but you regret not eating cleaner?

Edit: The question is for Bulking cycles.

depends on your goals. if your cutting your under your TDEE causing you to be calorie deficit. the idea will be to lose BF and maintain/gain lean muscle

When I was younger it was definitely the latter. I didn't know crap about diet, and ate too much "because I'm on cycle"

I also think too many guys over estimate how much they need while on cycle, and combine that with them doing too little cardio because they buy into the myth that it will hurt gains, well, they get fat.

i'm currently running my first cycle now test e 500mg pw and what a learning experiance it has been. i think in the beginning i wasnt eating enough so ofcourse i ate more than felt it was too much, it took till now week 10 to kinda figure it out. dont get me wrong i am not dissapointed at all and i dont think i f-ed my cycle up at all, i made good gains both in strength and lean mass but i will deffinately be able to make better strides in later cycles. i am happy i did this and have learned a tremedous amount from the experiance thus far thanks to this forum.

You have to find what works best for your body. It is difficult for me to put on mass in the first place so I eat a shit ton..but i also know my limit.
And there is a big difference between eating 5000cal from quality food and 5000cal for burger king LOL

My weight and strength increased dramatically on cycle. Bodyfat was around 14% peak cycle. After coming off I noticed I was alot leaner than usual and bodyfat is currently 11%, but with alot of new muscle built .

Just try and eat high amounts of high BV protein, moderate carb levels, EFAs. Amounts dependant to stats and goals.

This really depends on your body type and current stats.

I was more likely to not eat enough. That said I can whatever and not get fat, and eating enough is my constant battle.

I have only done one ill advised cycle (tren/test) and made big dirty gains.

At the time my diet sucked I was eating lots of food 5 times a day with no eye toward macros etc.Prior to the cycle I was completly full eating poorly 5 times a day. On the cycle eating the same way appetite was great, I ate a lot and gains were good but dirty.

Since that time I have cleaned up my diet a lot and am eating 7-8 times a day and am still hungry most of the time off cycle so it seems to me that on cycle as long as you keep your diet clean it will be hard for a lot of people too really over eat, not to say it could not be done and I am sure this does not apply to those at a higher level, I am just saying for someone who is still fairly casual ( compared to a pro) in their commitment to BB that while eating clean it will be more likely that someone would undereat than overeat, since its so much harder to overeat when you are eating clean than it is to overeat when eating dirty.

    Just my 2 cents,
    FFM
