Here's a good way to smoke a quack out of hole, you'll find out their true colors with this. I had an Endo that everyone claimed SHE was great in her field. I went to her and told her the way I felt and she ordered blood work. Test came back low-normal, E2 was close to 60 (normal range was 9-44), and my A1C was pre-diabetic. She was all up in arms about my A1C and my Lipids and how she wanted to put me on this and that. I said fine and asked her that since my E2 was way outside of my range, how are we going to treat this? She changed the subject back to my A1C (wtf?) and at that point I asked her again. Her answer....."Nothing, your Test is fine and its ok to have E2 out of range since its a female hormone. When I called her out about the "double standard" about treating some flagged levels and not others she flipped out. Claimed I was "Doctor Shopping" and that she was an authority in the field. At this point, the quack had been exposed and to think she was my 2nd opinion since another doctor saw an issue and wanted a specialist to confirm.
With that BS and wasted money out of the way, I enrolled with a HRT Clinic and haven't looked back. I'm E2 sensitive and can feel the symptoms and anxiety build when my E2 climbs. Once I started Anastrazole and HCG, the world turned around. My E2 dropped from 56 to 37, HCG is great at 300iu 2x week....I feel great.
Do yourself a favor, you'll have better luck picking a winning set of lottery numbers than you will finding a PCP who'll give you what is needed........just enroll with an HRT Clinic. You obviously have a legit need, you're not some kid trying to score a cycle, and you have a past history of hormone issues from what you stated. At least this way you'll have a Clinic legally writing you scripts that you need and you'll be able to work with a PCP on getting blood tests done to monitor your health.
