Razor burn

Anyone tried any electric shavers that they like? Razors suck... The new schick hydro is pretty good but I still get bumps all over my neck. Anyone got any input on an electric razor that can get the neck area? Just seems like they won't bend and flex enough...

I use a $20 walmart trimmer to shave. I like having a little stubble.

as far as best electric razor i dont know but i use tend skin with a cotton ball immediately after shaving

braun 7 series is expensive but really nice. other then that i've taken up straight razor shaving but it def takes some getting used to esp if you have sensitive skin

The bumps on your neck is from cutting too short .
Only shave downward .
The hair follicle is nicked off and thin skin covers top . That causes redness .
Honestly the fancy razors work too good for some .
A good double blade used after hot shower works best .

The problem is that I need to shave too many times, too close together. Also the hair on my neck grow sideways and I try to accommodate that but can't. Work requires a clean cut, shadow ok, but not long. So I need to shave every other day. The thing is my face never recovers from the last session before it is time to shave again. I would definitely rather use a razor but my neck will still have red bumps when its time for me to shave again, making them much worse. Being able to shave in the car on the way to work would be great too.

every electric shaver ive tried rips the fookn neck off me. mach 3 gillette blade is by far the best. a good tip is to shave after a bath having submerged your stubble area in the hot water, softens it alot and makes the shave alot smoother. i had trouble with what you describe in my early 20's, it went away with age. witch hazel creams/gel helps aswell

Razor bumps with hydro? Thats the best razor on the market and I have thick ass italian stubble and never get razor bumps from it.
I can't imagine your hair being any thicker than mine but thats crazy. I only get razor bumps from lesser blades or disposables.

As far as electric razors go there are some crazy ass sets out there. My brother spent $160 on his and its the craziest thing I've
ever used in my life. I will often walk into his room right after he leaves from work just to borrow it like a dirtbag haha. But the thing
is water proof, washes itself, and cuts hair in one stroke no matter what the length. It also cuts close as fvck to your skin. But
no electric razor gets as close as a blade will.
As far as razor bumps go I think blades are always more tramautic (unless they're quality like hydro), but even if you have an electric
razor the duller ones pull at the follicle doing the same shit. If you had a lot of money to dish for a hi end blade, I could find out the
name of his but I'd never spend that much myself. I'd rather spend $15-$20 on a quality blade and get the refills at a local flea
market like I've been doing. They sell the hydro blades for $1 each which is pretty crazy imo.

I use hydro and it is great on everywhere except my neck. My hair grows in different directions so going against the grain with some goes with the grain with others. Please find out the name for me. I'm interested in it. I'll just ask someone to get it for me for xmas and make sure it has a return policy. Thanks bo

I use my whal clippers on my hair, chest, and face all. It gets pretty close too.

I take a cotton ball, get some rubbing alcohol on it and dab it on my neck. I've yet to get razor burn there since doing it.

you just have to learn to go with lighter pressure on your neck....the skin on the neck under the jaw is thin and when you press down, you shave off the skin directly above the hair folicle because the folicle pushes that skin up into the razor, hence the red dots/bumps...

Twist, used to have the same prob. Don't shave against the grain...shave every few days and get razor bump treatment at walmart. It's made specifically for black guys. But works for us little dicked white guys too.
