    Wink Xbox 360 Kinect worth buying ?

    I used to have a WII and really liked the EA Active game, you could really get a good cardio workout on it but i really hated the fact that you needed to hold 2 controlllers to play and some sync issues made me sell the whole thing.

    I am a huge Xbox 360 fan and was wondering if Kinect as the same issues, i have seen a few good reviews, and the game yourshape looks really nice, also the fact that you dont need to hold a controller at the same time is really nice.

    Any feedback on this Kinect thing thanks everyone.

    im interested to hear this as well.. i heard that it works great if you have a clean living room that is well lit and if you do not wear dark clothes..

    RE: the PS3.. great console, but they do not have a kinect type device yet, and i do not believe they are gonig tohave one.. I beleive they are incorporating a Wii type controller, but that is far inferior to what Kinect does and no one can say there is that much of a difference between the two, but Microsoft has 10x the budget and 100x the brain power Sony does.

    So they have 7 times more money... but still came up with a slower and lower quality console aka Xbox 360.

    As to Kinect... it is good for attaching it to your dick and trying to hit a virtual piniada... LoL

    Just for the record i decided to go with Xbox 360 this time around because i had a PS1 and PS2 for many years. Xbox at least my machine never gave me any problems and works very well, Xbox as a lot better graphics and better exclusive games like splinter cell conviction and gears of war.

    To each is own i guess, i was suppose to save up some money for a PS3 next year but since there is only god of war that interested me i will pass.

    Ive seen the Kinect in action and it looks pretty sweet. I didnt use it myself and only saw my niece and nephew play it for about 20 minutes but from what I saw it looked like the best of the "motion" gaming devices out now.

    As far as Xbox vs PS3 its to each their own. I personally have always owned PS systems. I have never felt like I have been done wrong by Sony, I love the controller setup, and Im happy with the exclusives they offer. The system is worth it just to be able to play God of War 3 and Uncharted 2. Two of the greatest gaming experiences of my life.

    PS3 is better... if you were an educated buyer, then you would know this.

    Now... you are hoping to meet sh!t who knows more than you, so he can educate you about your future purchases... and hopefully open your eyes.

    That's your opinion. I've had playstations and xbox's. I personally like xbox's better kinda like you may like blondes and I like brunettes. There pvssies feel the same but I'll take the brunettes.

    As far as meeting shit goes, I would love to meet him. Everyone always tells eachother they don't know shit so to be one of the few who do would be kinda cool lol.

    PS3 is the best system I have ever owned. Xbox live is better then the Sony counterpart though. The only thing I've seen with Kinect is the dance game.

    yeah kind of weird that this is turning out on an Xbox vs PS3, glad the stupid WII system is not in the battle. LOL

    People need to respect other opinion, like i said i enjoyed my PS1 and PS2 a lot, PS2 got some pertty sick games out with the resident evil series, and more.

    Just bought the xbox 360 because it was cheaper got it for 199$ with 2 games, i don't play online and do not have the gold member card, if someone is addicted to playing games online then PS3 is the number one choice, because they are not crappy aholes like Microsoft to charge for online game play. The PS3 is still more expensive then the xbox right now, it does have some very good features with the blue ray player, and you can download an application to share your computer folder with the ps3 makes it easy to stream downloaded movies. But theses features for me are not important, for someone else they might be and its all cool there to.

    Like i said to each is own, some people i know got bad experience with the xbox, the machine crapped out on them, and also the old x box dvd player is very noisy, this was fixed with the new version.

    The PS3 is one solid console and i am sure that in the future they will come up with amazing new things but like i said for now at least i am satisfied with my xbox 360 looking forward to 2011 new games coming out but who knows maybe in the future i might buy myself a PS3 when the prices go down a bit.

    Thanks everyone for your replies, i might buy Kinect soon makes doing cardio a lot less boring, i just hate the stairmaster, i got my home gym in my basement so instead of staring at some sweet A$$ chicks in front of my while passing time i end up looking at the wall of my basement...... YARN

    get a wii for the same price, they already have some games that use an eye like the connect. As for the Kinect itself .....A. I dont trust Xbox to make the first controller less product as the Xbox itself had over a 70% failure rate....B. All the titles in the foreseable future will be made by xbox for xbox (unlike the wii which has independent developers on board), because of this graphics will be minimal at best and gameplay will never really be great....C. theres a video online which I cant find of a guy playing kinect "joy ride" its a driving game which you hold an imaginary steering wheel. He never moves once and is bouncing off walls and stuff and guess what he finishes top 3. The game is made so you cant fail because the kinect is shotty at best. Dont get me started on sonic free riders.

    Both games you mention have terrible reviews and i will agree with you, but ea active and your shape got very decent reviews. Kinect is very new, WII was plague with bugs, i just hated it, during the EA Active workout when you are in full cardio mode doing the obstacle course and you lose focus and it freezes up. Boxing was terrible as well, and holding both controllers was awful when punching the pads, the wire came in the way more then one time.

    Xbox 360 you don't have any controller on hand.
