My long term battle with shoulder/elbow injuries

    [Shoulder]

My shoulder has become more chronic with pain/aching over the last few months more so since I have stopped gym all together, the pain feels like its right on the surface, I can feel the muscles/tendons which are actually hurting on the side near the rotator cuff area on the outside-side of the shoulder, something in there seems to get caught and then it inflames. But now the pain is there all the time and anti inflammatories have stopped working for it.

    [Elbow]

Also I have had pain on the inside of my elbow "on the same arm" for quite a while now (months) and down the under side of the fore arm near that elbow, I had a tingly pinky finger for a little while but the osteotherapist fixed that.

I am atlast being fowarded to a shoulder specialist who is able and hopefully puts me in for an MRA scan which is apprently the same as an MRI scan but specifically for my shoulder. I have had an x-ray and an ultrasound scan on my shoulder which has shown nothing.

I have also once had an inflamed tricep tendon once after doing loads of kick backs with the DB only on very light on that arm to and used to have pain behind the elbow where the tricep joins too until the ostepath helped that.

Though I must say I might have RSI from using the computer in work allot/using my mobile phone.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

I have seen an osteopath and had physiotherapy and now seeing a chiropractor. I have bad posture and my shoulder and neck roll foward, I have too much chest muscle compared to my back muscles.

What do you guys think about all of this? I really hope I don't have nerve entrapment on the elbow, am I wasting my money with a chiropractor? and would it hurt for me to use a very low dosage of deca nandroline to get me back into the gym just doing light weights to keep my size and work on my back muscles/posture?

    Thank you.

hmmm...too much chest muscle pulls your shoulder back?! it usually pulls your shoulders forward! its got to be something else... how old are you? age and low test could be a big factor here, muscles get tense and sore, and they don't recover fast enough, therefore they inflame and they get worse as time goes. if the MRA comes back negative then find a good chiropractor, some one who specializes in athletes, some one who will make you cry while digging his elbow into your flesh! i had my back and triceps muscle locked for months, and they got worse, i visited my chiropractor and he suggested a one hour massage, well more like one hour torture! anyway, its been about a week and i can't describe the relief i got, he also said that with my low test i will get back where we started, because i work hard at the gym.

as for the elbow its probably a tennis elbow, the chiropractor can help you there as well, the pain you describe is from using your wrist, try to bypass the wrist joint when lifting thing or weights, also ice it when you can, 2-3 times a day if possible, it will help the healing process. good luck bro...

Sounds like what I just got over, inside of the elbow is often Golfer Elbow and it a slow heal, it comes from your wrist flexors.

Upside for the OP- time to train those wheels
