Looking to gain more size - Possibly a cycle?

    Age: 21
    Weight: 62kg
    Height : 168
    BF%: 6
    Time Training - 10 years +

Im looking to gain some serious size now, ive been training for a long time and have great definition but need to put on some more mass.

Im looking to hit around 70kg and then bring my BF% back down to where it is.

I have been suggested to steer towards taking some Dbol with a test ontop for 4 weeks. Then to obviously have a full PCT.

Im not looking to take steroids regularly, so im wondering is it possible to get some big gains off one cycle and then stay back off it for a few months maybe a year.

I was also suggested towards an anavar cycle.

What are your thoughts? I know im young, but i can assure im fully grown. I haven't grown in height in well over a year along with the normal looks you expect from ending puberty.

For me, i currently study Sports Science at a high ranked UK university so i know a bit about how everything works. But my knowledge is journal based and would prefer to get some real first hand opinions.

    Cheers for your time

    Ah right.

Has it been proven to cause that damage?

Yeah i see that. I also don't know whether the gains i would receive are worth the risks. Its a moral dilemma :P

at you size. no deffinately worth it you have enough hormones in you body to gain mass if your diet is solid. post your diet in the diet section and let the guys critique it and tweak it.
    good luck

about 6 years ago, I wanted the same thing, I started on the high cal. protein shake ( i think its mass bulk ) from the local health place in the mall. The shake alone is around 2400 cals. ( I think )... Anyway it helped me out....Either way its another option

Yeah im on all those shakes now and ive just got my diet fully in check. Been taking a food diary properly for the past 2 days. So ill keep it up for a while longer and let you know how i get on etc. No point in posting just two days up.

    Cheers for the help.

Let me give you an idea about something.......those weight gainer shakes that you buy at your local supplement shop are sort of a waste. I know a lot of people on here take them, and YES they do have a shit ton of calories in them. But the majority of those calories are empty, and do nothing for you. You are better off making your own, out of real food, and drinking that instead. You can make a shake out of milk, peanut butter, fruit, oatmeal, protein powder, etc......and all of that is real food, that your body will actually use. Just with those simple things I listed, you can get upwards of 800-1000 calories. Is it 2400like the weight gainer? Nope..........but if you think your body is using all of those 2400 calories you are horribly mistaken. You will always be better off using real foood. There is a reason supplemements are called supplements. They are there to SUPPLEMENT whatever you are eating and taking in, they are not there to take the place of real food. Trust me, you'll see the difference........

Yea co-signed. Most use maltodextrin to boost calories, they can even claim its complex carbs. Scientifically it is, but this is why glycemic index was invented, b/c complex vs. simple carb refers to molecular structure not how fast the body uses. For me personally NOTHING puts on weight faster than maltodextrin, problem is all that weight it fat. Its like right below dextrose as highest GI carb out there. your insulin levels will be flying around and you will just pack on fat. eat real food. trust me,even tho its much easier to drink a shake it wont do the job

Age is far less of a factor in this situation than your current physique level.

if you can only maintain 62kg @ 5'7, there is aboslutely no chance of you maintaining 70kg + with your current training / diet.
think about it logically man, you're not ready, hang around, train naturally and properly for a while then look back into it when your 22ish

Dude, you're skinny as tits. Go on a 3 month bulk, put on the lbs, then maybe cycle while cutting down.... IMO, I'd wait at least another year before I considered it.
I highly doubt you've been 'training' for 10 years. C'mon man, you're not fooling anyone, why even try? Be honest with others like you are with yourself. We're here to help and guide you in the right direction. Don't rush. Health should be your #1 priority man, always.

Im not lieing about training for 10 years. I knew this would come up :P

I did rock climbing originally at national level. Then went on to be a semi pro cyclist.

By my training, i have always had a form of resistance training in my regiment. My body is used to the loads.

However I started my full hard weight training regiment properly at the beginning of September.

At the moment im just eating loads and doing compounds.

I also appreciate your feedback and comments.

tehchurch: Look at me @ 48 and I have never touched a cycle. Proper diet and workouts is all you need to be healthy and fit. Granted I'm not big by any means but my health/bloodwork is spot on and I have a resting heart rate of 45bpm.

  20. #20
45bpm is lower than when i was cycling! I was about 48.

So yes you are very fit and tbh your basicly how i want to look.

My dad is similer build to you and has been training for years. He hasnt touched any juice either.

I guess it would be better to do it all naturally aswell.

    Cheers again Eastcoastkid
