With the way America is atm I can't see laws getting passed.
best comment on there. and its true
"New Jersey wouldn't be New Jersey without steriods, it would be Connecticut."
I believe the Phoenix AZ police are currently tested for 'roids.
I see no problem with cops using roids as long as it does not interfere with their job.
I think all cops and firemen after the age of 25 should be required to use steroids. Do you want some out of shape bastard helping you if your hurt in a burning building or a fit guy with strength to spare?
I have seen quite a few fat fireman and cops in my lifetime. Always wondered how they passed their yearly fitness test? Guess it helps to have friends keeping the score.
the thing is, those guys are on the front line all day - dealing with people high on drugs/alcohol, and they see death/accidents all day long....
i say they need more steroids. if i need help - i wanna call the biggest most pissed off jacked on roids cop i can find![]()
Steroids are bad for cops and all people in New Jersey... send all the steroids to Missouri![]()
I love NJ but we have some of the harshest laws in the country (especially for guns). Even for medical marijuana we have tougher laws than any other mm state in the US.
As far as cops using steroids I think its great. Even when I was on parole I remember my PO making a remark jokingly about me being on steroids.
I kinda closed my mouth and didn't know how to react and he was just like "don't worry I bet my associates are running heavier cycles than you". I thought
it was hilarious and its pretty cool that in a state that enforces some ridiculous laws, at least LE can be leniant about hormones.
But then another side of me also sees how power struck/hot tempered some NJ police can be and sometimes I wonder maybe they'd be more relaxed off the
shit.
I don't think cops should break the law. A cop that has a dealer is not living up to the standard that should be expected in exchange for the power they are given. I am sure I have some sort of double standard going on here, but we need to be able to respect and trust law enforcement, and that is hard to do when they break the laws they are supposed to enforce.
Totally unrealistic, I know.
/\ I think its somewhat instinctual not to trust people in any form of high authority. Doctors, lawyers, cops, politicians, etc. Sure a lot them are good, but a lot of them also get away with things you'd never see a poor black man from the ghetto get away with. We may approach those same people with a higher level of scrutiny but I think in a lot of cases it can be well deserved.
you dont need to use steroids to be in shape and just because you use steroids it does not mean you are in shape.
long term use may not be a good thing for some and others may not be affected.
there are cops who would not handle the the possible aggression that may come with it.
anyone who thinks someone should be required to use steroids is a moron.
Spot on.... LOL except that law enforcement in this state is only leniant with steroids when it comes to themselves or their co-workers/familly. If patrolman Johnny Juicehead found an amp of anything in my car..... he'd have me locked up faster than I could blink an eye.....

Maybe its just me, but I would rather have buff in shape fire fighters than skinny 140 pound ones.
It's important to remember that these 248 accused police and firefighters were being prescribed their steroids by a physician. Technically, they did not break a single law. Unless the State AG can PROVE beyond a reasonable doubt that blood tests and other diagnose's were faked/fraudulent/etc, then these officer and firemen did nothing wrong. No different in my opinion than the Wall Street f*cks who toe the line and do shit that would normally be criminal. The fact that we choose not to follow this route, does not mean we should condemn these officers.
