    Kettle bell Workouts?

Anyone have any experience with Kettle bell workouts? I've always used a more traditional lifting program (straight bar, dumbbell, etc.), but my gym has a class that utilizes all kettle bell power movements (clean and jerk, snatch, clean and press, etc.). I'm generally against "classes", but it's at 7am and all looks like serious lifters. It sounds interesting, but not sure if I want to incorporate without doing some research. Any thoughts?

Some people like the kettle bell and some don't. Depends on what you are going for. Thomas Jane from "The Punisher" and "Hung" swears by it. I tried it once and used it for some ab exercises and it worked pretty well. I would still rather use free weights though.

They are great if you learn how to use them from someone who is qualified and they teach you proper technique like anything else. I wouldn't rely on them for an entire routine but here and there they may help give you that advantage.

I work one arm snatches, high pulls and swings into my workouts. I also do one one arm shoulder presses with them from time to time for a month or two at a time. Like everything else they have their place.
