how do you find your total cals?

I don't really pay much attention to my total cals. I like to use macros. But I was thinking the other day, i don't include incomplete protein into my macros or my carbs from veggies. So obviously if i calculated cals from my macros they would be different than if i were to add up the calories on the nutritional label. Which number would be the one to use?

If I'm counting macros or calories personally I count everything. I know some people only count protein from protein sources, carbs from non-fibrous sources and fats from fat sources and are successful with their diets. I think the important thing is to be consistent and adjust accordingly.

You should. Just because they're incomplete doesn't mean they don't count. One source may have the complimentary amino's that another source is missing. Your body will 'pool' incomplete proteins for a period of time while it 'looks' for a match with the missing amino's. You are probably overeating, at least protein, quite a bit.
