When you are told to get down you get down. Although the guy was not fighting the cop could have waited a minute. However the chick was stupid! You never walk up into a cops personal space when he is arresting somebody. She was at fault.

Maybe she should have not tried to walk up to him but I dont think she gave him reason to hit her several times with his baton and then drag her backwards and push her to the ground.
I hope he is suspended at the least. you got to love/hate cell phone cams.

excessive force. period. i didnt see ANYTHING that would have given the cop a reason to even hit the man with the baton. let alone the chick. every REAL police officer, that doesnt have a personal agenda, would have told the lady to step back. but, he didnt even do that. you can tell cause time as he even acknowledged the woman was around him, he went straigh to hitting her with the baton. yeah, she kinda acted shitty towards him after( leading up to the pepper spray) but wouldnt you? after a cop just randomly beats you for no reason other than him just wanting to abuse his powers, are you gonne be all," yes sir, can i have another?!?!"
then on op of that, he reaches down the back of her pants (could eaisly file sexaul assult charges), to grap her. then to force her into the ground (kinda looked like her face broke her fall), was way too much. this, along with other reasons, is why i have "0" respect for over 90% of the "above the law enforcment".

excessive force on the chick, when he tripped her face first on the ground. the baton hits to the legs are justified, IF he was ordering them to the ground and they refused. im sure the cops saw the fighting going on as they walked/ran up to the truck. they already have cause for arresting the people for fighting, so a couple of baton hits are probably going to be justified..
departments give them batons, tazers, etc. to use during arrest,, but of course there are those that abuse shit.
much like any other profession who abuses their positions.

i agree, if they were refusing...BUt...the next step would have been to pull the baton out and warn them if they didnt do as told, they would suffer and ass kickin...and then ONLY then, do they have the justification to hit the persons repatedly. i also agree 100% that they were doin the right hing for arresting them.
idk, i guess its just me. i even go about fighting the same way.i tell them to stay away from me and shut their mouth. if that dont work...tell them the seriousness of the ass kicking they will endure, and if that doesnt wrok....show them.lol
i agree that it seems the powers that be,regardless of who, will at some point abouse their powers. more offen than not,any way.

AND I STILL NEVER RESIST ARREST!!! forget about the beating them part, they will through you in the worst cell and not feed you and make it way worse than if you just put up your hands say im sorry and do WHATEVER THEY TELL YOU TO DO...
both of them got what they deserved.. never walk up on a cop like that.. they are going to think immediately you are trying to pull their gun our of their belt, cause that is how they are trained..
plus it was kinda nice to see a black cop beat up some white people for a change

they deserve what they got. If you are told to get down just get down. Dont try to argue or walk away like that dumb girl did. The cop did his job i would of done the same thing. I was in the military and people like that get on your nervous and yes you do loose it but you know what if they dont want to listen the first time i bet knocking some since in them will do the trick
