Watched Milos Sarcev's videos...need some clarifications.

Great video series...it really cleared up a lot of stuff for me. Even though it helped a lot...it left me with a couple of questions...first, when he recommends 1-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight, is that actual weight or is that based on LBM? If LBM, what is the best way to figure that out?

LBM. If you did it with your current bodyweight your accounting for fat, protein is for muscle. I cant remember the link to calculate LBM, someone on here who knows will chime in.

Thanks. I haven't figured anything yet. I know that I am pretty high BF% from not working out for a number of years and really just becoming a bit lazy. No excuses...just got lazy. But it is time to change that. First step was getting back in the gym...now it's time to get my diet working for me...not against me.

Perhaps I should invest in some body fat calipers.

First thing I would do is go to the Diet section and post how you eat as of now. Look around and you will see how most people on here eat, 6-7 times a day, complex carbs, proteins, vegetables, and healthy fats. Get a feel for the foods that are good for you and how much of them you should eat. Determine what your goal is as well: lose weight, tone up, gain muscle/ strength.

Yeah...I've been reading a lot. I just came off the keto diet and while it seemed to work ok I just got really tired of eating the types of foods required. Before that I was a vegetarian for about 8 months. I just wanted to give that a try. The past few days I have just been eating standard SAD and I want to start doing something as outlined in the videos. It makes pretty good sense to me and I think it is a diet I can live with long term until my goals are met, even beyond. But yeah...I'll check out the diet section and maybe make up a thread there.
