    that is the coolest shit Ive seen in a while... looks like the bird actually had some lift even while the cat had a hold of it

    Normal Blujay behaviour, while it may have had a nest nearby Blujays are known to behave this way over large areas of ground they consider their territory and can really be a danger to older cats who are kept outside particularly if kept on leashes or in a restricted area like a on a deck. They also attack other birds in a simalar manner often in teams.

    It's known as Kin-Selection, where an animal will sacrifice itself if it thinks it will protect its siblings, parents or offspring. People do it as well, and it's where it's thought "altruism" comes from.

    damn it, now I feel bad... I looked at it and thought the bird was picking on the cat cause Ive seen that happen (without a nest involved), and now its a dead mommy bird...
