    Question about brown rice

    Just wondering if microwavable brown rice is ok? Im in school & work and its a great time saver to get my meals in.

    The nutrition facts are
    230 Calories
    Total fat 3.5g
    Total Carbs 40g
    Protein 5g

    Yeah, it is totally fine. Microwaving precooked brown rice is a much better option than aynthing else in terms of your daily complex carb intake.

    i always microwave mine the night b4 and eat it in skool with chicken breast and vege's.

    Is it plain brown rice, or those uncle ben's type packets with all of the sodium and preservatives?

    My point wasn't about the brand, it was about the quality of the product. It's probably ok, but if I were you i'd cook up a big batch of natural brown rice on the weekend and eat it throughout the week. Heat it up in the microwave just like you do now.
