    Diet Plateau

SO the purpose of this thread is to dicuss the possibility of this existing. For example it is essentially common knowledge in our circles that in order to progress workout routines must be changed on a failry regular basis. The prevents adaptation and as a result allows for additional /steady (to an extent) growth.
So what about the diet ? Could the same hold true? We all know of various strategies used to "fool" the body into a temporary anbolic state using dietary manipulation. ie: carb cycling , The Anabolic Diet , etc...
Is this something that one should consider doing long term? Like switching workouts? Say change diet every 8 weeks or so? Another possibility every 8 weeks take a one week "break" and do a drastic dietary change for that week before returning to your "normal" diet?
It is not uncommon for this to be discussed in regard to strictly fat loss on weight loss forums etc. However im talking for muscle gain here.

Just thought this may provide some interesting viewpoints.
This is the type of topic when i was younger i would spend WAY too much time thinking about and analyzing - but I still find discussions like this intersting.
    So - Any thoughts anyone?

Diets needs are so specific for each person, I feel that the idea of a diet plateau, is really just the process of finding what works for you. Rotating between carb rich and keto diets seems to work well for some. Especially when priming for a cycle.

Interesting concept and good idea for a thread

I don't really see a diet plateau per se, only a perceived plateau by people who don't realize the diet will need to change, or rather evolve, as body composition (and therefore nutritional needs) changes. Other than that, I say if it ain't broke...

is that not the purpose of a couple of cheat meals a week? 2 keep ur body guessing. i agree with GB in that peoples diets should change fairly regularly but not because they reached a plateau but because they have made progress and need to change their diet to suit that. ive never heard of someone doing a complete diet over-haul every few months. seems uneccesary to me, if it aint broke ^^^
