Oatmeal- I am sick and tired of it. Please help!

    Hi guys,

Every morning for the past year and a half I have been having a half cup of old fashioned oats mixed with berries/yogurt.

IT TAKES ME on average over 45 minutes to eat!
I love the benefits but I need something better!

What do you guys do for your oats? And how long does it take for you to eat?

Post your favorite recipes on here please. I've looked around the net, there are not too many good recipes out there.

    Thanks guys

Brown rice in place of oats .
    Half and half rice/oats .
Mix either one with protein powder . Make thick like pudding .
Brown rice/egg white omelet . ( use safflower oil )

45 minutes to eat a half cup of oatmeal? Dude, get an adult size spoon, that's like 8 bites! All kidding aside, try mixing in some grits with it, changes the texture and flavor.

    Oats are easy for me:

1/2 cup oats cooked in 1 cup water
    3 packets of splenda
    good sprinkle of cinnamon
a 'splash' of fat free half and half (makes it creamy)
    1/2 banana
    1/2 cup blueberries

I eat that along with a good protein of course, but for convenience sake you can add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to it (I prefer casein or a blend like Myofusion over straight whey) which also tastes great.

This recipe will disguise the oats so much so you will be amazed.....ENJOY! and this is easy to do and last for 3 meals....

    Oat Pancakes:

    1 cup oats
    6 egg whites
1 cup fat free cottage cheese
splash of skim milk or water
    Splenda all you want
    nutmeg
    drop of vanilla

Blend the oats in a blender until real powdery ( no water just dry )
and then add all the rest above and blend until a good consistency for a pancake

Cook on griddle/pan which should be real hot sprayed with Pam....and then cook like a regular pancake

    TOP with:
Sugar free syrup and blueberries or fruit of choice
and drop a bit of Greek yogurt to spread around the pancake

    ENJOY!

MAKES 3 BIG PANCAKES! so good for 3 meals.

A lot of these recipes you guys are posting look great for bulking, but if the OP is anal and trying to cut--I would avoid 90% of them.

Like I said, for someone anal, like myself, I would have to avoid the yogurt and blueberries. It wouldn't do me good on a strict cut. As for others, it may be perfectly fine, either way that little reciepe looks SUPER delicious!

Thanks....it is super delicious....i got the basic recipe from Baseline and then tweaked it...

You can leave off the yogurt easily as I do that for a "whipped cream look" and the blueberries could be left out or replaced with raspberries if need be....and now I just use water since the milk is no different really....

This recipe makes a big pancake....just licked my plate awhile ago....LOL!
