    FNG here

Hey guys, I'm a 44 y/o casual weight trainer (2-3 days a week) and I am in excellent health with no health issues that I am aware of. For the last two years I have been having issues with keeping the body fat down and the lean mass up. When I noticed this I mentioned it to my doc who told me that it was just because I was in my 40s and that is what happens. Now I know a lot of guys who are in their 50s and 60s who are in fantastic shape so I figured this was BS. I started some research and realized that what I had was probably low test. I was having several other symptoms that were consistent with that as well. So it took a year to get my doc to order a serum test level on me. I'm on this forum now so you can probably guess what the results were - low of course. It came back at 159. No wonder I've been feeling like crap!!!

I haven't seen my doc about this yet, from what I know of him he'll probably put me on Androgel (blech!). I'd rather do IM injections every day than smear that crap on myself!! Anyhow, I'm going to be looking for info on test replacement therapy, legit sources, how this can tie into a more intense workout, and how best to get built like Stallone was in The Expendables.

My user account is open to messages/emails so feel free to message me if you have info to share. I don't know what questions to ask yet, so I'll be posting questions as soon as I learn enough to know what questions to ask.

PS - In case you are wondering, I'll be looking for a new doc soon. This guy is ridiculous!

Yep, I have been reading it. There is so much info there that it is almost intimidating. I'll have to read some more I guess.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

No, not really. You are talking about rejuvenation clinics, right? I have seen the "Low-T" television commercials, but I haven't really given them much thought. I suspect they would be prohibitively expensive.
