I know this belongs in the recipe sub-forum, but nobody ever looks there. If it's an issue, i'll have it moved.
I made this tonight and used it to dip Baseline's crispy cornflake chicken recipe w/ cajun spice rub mixed in with the cornflakes. EPIC!!!
I'll list 2 different (but similar) recipes. I have used both in the past, but used the Bennigan's one tonight with Baseline's chicken. Granted, neither of these are the best in terms of 'health' food, but if you use it sparingly it won't make or break your diet. If you can figure it into your macros, even better:
Bennigan's Version:
3/4 cup sour cream (I used fat free sour cream)
1/3 cup mayo (if you can stand low-fat mayo, go for it. I can't, so I used Hellman's regular mayo)
1/3 cup dijon mustard (I used Guldens spicy brown mustard)
1/3 cup honey (yea yea, sugar, I know)
1tbsp + 1tsp lemon juice
Mix it all together and enjoy! If you use fat free sour cream, there are no real worries there - a bit of carbs and some protein. Mayo is the biggest concern here with the fat content, but you're using 1/3rd of a cup for the whole recipe. Dip sparingly and relax.
TGI Friday's Version:
1/2 cup sour cream (again, use fat free)
1/2 cup mayo
2tbsp mustard
4tbsp honey
1tbsp white vinegar
Mix and enjoy. This one is obviously a bit heavier on the mayo, therefore higher in fat. However with 4tbsp of honey, it's lower in sugar. Basically 6 of one and half dozen of the other, take your pick!
