I've spent time in both places and I'm from neither. And spent time with both armed forces....I will say that it is a different person that you find as a grunt in the each force, so that above comment means little in this pointless thread.

I am not saying one is better than the other. This only applies to British Soldiers!!!!!! This is just a personal observation/experience I had while in Iraq. The base commander use to hold boxing matches on Fridays, and 10 times out of 10 it was an American vs. a Foreign (British) Soldier.
