    specs on raw chicken

it seems most packaging of raw chicken says 4ounces is ruffly 23-25 grams of protein, but is that 4oz raw or after its cooked? i just recently started making chicken breast, i just boil it for 15-20 mins and its ready to eat. But i bought a pack of 3 big breats for 6bux, the package says its 3lbs worth of chicken so 1 pound each breast basically, it looks huge when its raw but when its cooked it doesnt really look like alot, so is that 1 breast basically 80 grams of protein?

well i guess if its 25 grams per 4oz raw it would be 100 grams, not 80.

I always measure based on raw weight. What's important is that you're consistent with your method.

If you measure raw, always measure raw. Conversely if you measure cooked then always measure cooked.

Food is always packaged with raw weight. When doing your own nutritional and weight measurements; go with cooked.
