Where to get affordable PRP injections for Tendonitis/Tendonosis in the USA

I've got some connective tissue disorder, and have, what I think is tendonosis going on 8 years now in the left knee. PT, rest, nothing has worked. I'm interested in trying high concentration PRP injections, but finding good facilities that do that and pricing is not easy. I'd travel anywhere in the US, possibly Mexico, and Canada to get this shit treated right.

I've seen some pricing in Canada, anywhere from 50-800 bucks for a treatment. 800 being quoted for treating multiple joints in that session. In the US I've been quoted as much as 2500 dollars for a single injection, which is ffing ridiculous.

    Any help is appreciated.

8 years is a long time to not know exactly what type of injury you have, especially if you have been getting it treated and been going through pt.

are u an athlete? do you do any type of rigorous activity or training that hurts the injury on a consistent basis?

since you obviously have a chronic case on your hands i would say it IS tendonosis. is it patellar? is it at the inferior side of the patella or right at the top of the tibial tuberosity?

prp injections are very expensive here in the u.s. and i don't think insurance is gonna cover it. this is definitely a last resort for tendonosis disorders. also, it is experimental and isn't proven to be effective on every patient.

tendonosis is a tough injury to shake. it can take years to improve once proper treatment is started.

Seems to be at the top of the tibial tuberosity. Had an MRI way back when, and they said nothing showed up. Bullcrap, it was probably just plain tendonitis at that point. I've had tendonitis issues in the shoulders too. Nope, not at athlete, just a poor sap with bad genes. BB forums have better injury treatment info than the medical websites. Yep, PRP is way too expensive, and cultured mesenchymal stem cell injections are even more, which I would do in a heartbeat if I had the cash. I'm not totally convinced on PRP, but am on the stem cells. I would likely try rHGH too at this point, but don't know a doc who would write me a script. It's the business of secrets...

i dealt with the same injury for 2 years or so. i was able to fully recover from it in about 6-8 months once i figured out how to take care of it. i'm in my early 20s so bouncing back from injuries is commonplace. but, this tendonosis stuff really pinned me down for a while. depending on how old you are i believe you can fully recover from it with proper treatment. the injections may not be necessary. have you looked into needle therapy? if your insurance covers it, give it a shot.

I know one of our members had HA injections in the knees and he said it helped a lot. I have a co worker who did the PRP injections for his elbow and after the 2nd or 3rd time it helped but he thinks he still needs to do a couple more. I'm not sold on it personally but?

Have you looked into prolo therapy? That also looks interesting but it's more for the back I believe. I'm also having some tendonosis issues with my shoulders. Of course the sports medicine doctors say the cartilage is torn and wants to do arthroscopic shoulder surgery on both shoulders. Interesting enough I just found that the pain pumps delivering anesthetics have caused PAGCL", or simply, chondrolysis as the drugs kill the cartilage cells. Not good.
