Good way to cut into fat.. Many think otherwise, even go to the extent of believing this is not good at all due to glucose levels and more bs.. Just do it and do so consistenly and you'll see results in a few weeks as long as your diet is also supporting your fat burning goals.

Whether you do fasted cardio or cardio post lifting either will be fine as long as your consistent. Also fat is lost evenly throughout the body and the stomach area is always the last to go in males (just genetic disposition). It is impossible to lose fat in specific areas only in your body.

This week I did half fasted cardio and sometimes I waited two hours after a meal before doing cardio. I managed to drop from 193.8 to 191.2 after getting my diet fixed through this forum. I think I am going to try fasting cardio as it is easier waking up and going to the gym without eating than eating waiting two hours then working out.

    Diet + weights + cardio = success.

I'm currently on a keto diet, lifting 4 days a week and 7 days a week low intensity cardio. On my lifting days I will do 90-120 minutes weights, followed by 60 minutes low intensity cardio. On my rest days I will do 90 minutes low intensity cardio twice daily. The key to fasted cardio is to do low intensity. This way you are burning majority of calories from fat and not from other sources. This way you wont loose muscle

    keep it up!

X2 People try to target with sit ups etc but it doesnt work that way. If you want to see just get a sea week wrap or something like that. It will dehydrate your middle section and take an inch or so off your middle but within a few hours your body will re distribute the water so it's back to the same as before. Only other way to target the fat is Lipo. No thanks, still to risky.

Just curious what your stats are? Just a way to give people a comparison to your cardio routine.

Personally, I can't do any cardio that long. Too boring. I've recently started sprinting for cardio recently (on rainy days, I walk on the treadmill at the highest incline for 10-12 minutes).

    19, 5'8, 165lbs, not 100% on bodyfat but i'd say around 18-20%.

I do cardio at the gym; time flies when you're listening to some good beats

Joshh I was in good shape when I was 19 too. It's easy to get in shape with a high natural level of testosterone, however the advice I am looking for is from people over 30 (no I didn't mention this) who hit that 30 something level of metabolism and natural hormones. Enjoy your 19-29's, if you don't stay in shape by the time you reach the 30's will be difficult which is where I am at:

I'd still say that weights followed by fasted low intensity cardio combined with a proper diet (diet is the key), you will see some great results regardless of age. I myself was 210lbs just over a year ago.

Anyway what I was trying to get across is that it's best to do low intensity (~65% HR) whilst in a fasted state and not higher intensity.

"Low intensity cardio is ideal for people who are in a fasted state. This allows them to burn off fat without having to worry too much about burning off muscle at the same time. Burning off 200 calories during low intensity cardio is more beneficial than burning off 200 calories during high intensity cardio if you are going for fat loss."

Okay, now I'm listening to you Joshh. going from 210 - 165 is not easy at any age. I thought you might have been 175 in high school and went down 10 lbs or something easy.

I did a split workout today 60 minutes fasted at 140-150 beats per minute in the am, then I did weight lifting tonight with a focus on shoulder and calves. I couldn't do as much cardio tonight as I am feeling pain in back and leg and felt totally wiped out so I stopped sooner. I don't want to agitate anything or make it worse.

I'm gonna stick with the fasted cardio because its EASIER than eating breakfast, waiting two hours and then exercising.

Depends on your goals; Do you want to get fit? Loose fat?

If you primarily want to burn fat, lower intensity (jogging, walking) is more beneficial over longer periods of time as you are burning more calories from fat and not other sources.

    I will re-quote:
