Thread: My home-made postworkout shake.

  1. #1

    My home-made postworkout shake.

    350 ml milk
    2 cup of frozen strawberries
    2 scoops whey protein
    1/2 cup of oats

mixed in blender, gives me about

80g protein, 80g carbs and 700 calories, tastes like strawberry milkshake.

Is this better absorbed than the standard weight gainers you buy at GNC?

Some OTC premade weight gainers and shake's are full of sugars, E numbers and other crap.

Make your own with a good solid whey powder (I like Isolate), mixed with fruits, oats, milk/water, raw whole eggs, honey, cinnamon, coca powder or other flavouring alterntives. Also add your supps. like creatine mono, beta-alanine, cissus, etc...

    Good organic ingredients.

    My home-made protein shake!

    2 scoops whey isolate
    2 medium apples
    1oz blackberries
    1/2C finely ground oats
    {cortisol control}
    1C black tea
    3g sodium ascorbate
    12-16oz almond milk
    dash of cinnamon

Yummy! approx 50g protein and 100g carbs maybe some fat in there like 5g or so...
