    Squating to release testosterone

I heard from a trainer that its good to squat when you do your uper body workouts because squating works the biggest muscles in your body and you will release more testosterone while doing so.. is this true? also is it better to squat before or after you do your uper body work outs

Any type of exercise that uses large muscle masses will result in an anabolic release. Also the breaks between sets have to be around 30 secs not 3-5mins.

bench, dead, chin, all release it
but why would you squat on day you train upper body, unless doing a full body routine?

what i heard or read was that using as much muscle as possible is when test levels come into play or whatever "released" which i dont really know what that means..does it hide when your doing curls..idk....

but i actually squat on some upper body days as well because i break up my leg work anyway because for me doing all leg exercises in one day is too much..and like lifter said above its kind of like a full body routine..

i think i rest from 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on how intense the set is/was or if i raise the weight significantly...

Ive heard that you're supposed to do legs (squat) or back (deads) early in the week because of this, but no science has been shown to me

Exactly, but as a result it does not cause localised growth

So squatting for bigger arms is BS!

All compound movements release tons of hormones. As an athlete, I squat almost every training session, (6 days a week). If you notice a lack of libido, grip strength, or depression... you probably did not eat or sleep enough, and cortisol is too high, and you've actually lowered your test levels.

Is there a more technical term than "release" for the process thats being described? I don't know what that means. It sounds like some sort of ad for a gimmicky workout machine or supplement.

Squats and dead-lifts increase GH and Testosterone, more than other compound exercises during exercise.
