Amy Winehouse found dead at 27...

Guess it was only a matter of time with her.

BREAKING NEWS: Amy Winehouse, 27, found dead at her London flat

Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London, it has been reported.

The Back To Black singer was apparently found at 4pm and her death is believed to be unexplained.

Winehouse had been seen with her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield earlier this week as the teenager took to the stage at the iTunes festival.

Passing: Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home this afternoon
While she didn't perform any tracks, Winehouse apparently begged the crowds to buy Dionne's album.

A source said: 'Amy staggered onstage and grabbed the mic to beg the crowd to buy her protege’s new album.'

Winehouse's appearance at the concert came after she cancelled her European tour following a disastrous performance in June when she stumbled onto the stage in Belgrade and gave an incoherent performance appearing very disorientated and removed from reality.

Following the concert which saw fans enraged and the subsequent video that circulated to millions she cancelled the remaining dates of her European tour.

A statement released by the troubled singer's spokesperson said that the 27-year-old would be given 'as long as it takes' to recover.

The statement read: 'Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances.

'Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen.'

Sad, I don't care how much of a train wreck her personal life was, she was one helluva talent. Hardly anybody sings that type of music anymore; if you didn't see her, you'd never know she was white - that's awesome. Love dirty bluesy music like that. Adele is another one that has a similar style in some songs.

I do. There so much GARBAGE music being made these days, nothing real. Just a bunch of over-produced electronic shit. Once in a while somebody comes along and brings it back to basics - Amy Winehouse did that.

Personally, I don't give a fvck about her drug habits - I didn't know her obviously and it doesn't affect my life. I just know she made good music and we won't get that from her anymore. Instead, people like Britney Spears continue to live on, same old trash she was doing years ago.

No one is beyond redemption while they are still alive. Obviously she was a train wreck, but she was incredibly talented, and she was a human being in a tremendous amount of pain. I spent a good portion of my life as a low down, worthless, on the street junky. I was the guy everyone thought would never make it (including me.) I have been clean for 5 years now and have a life that I never even imagined was possible. I know I am not the only person on this board with this kind of background. The person who died at twenty seven years old today was a disaster. What is tragic is the loss of the person she still COULD have been, and the life she COULD have had. We all love stories about redemption. They make the best movies and books. The underdog no one believes in making it. Remember that when you see them when they are still the underdog. R.I.P. Amy.

Im not going to sit here and read most of what you guys wrote, but i will say this. My sympathy is minimal in fact its probably none. If someone wants do go on a binge of using drugs and alcohol, and then die why should we feel sorry for them or even mourn them. This is all self inflected, and she got what she deserved. Its cruel but the truth.

    hmmm....

just cause someone goes as far as commits suicide, which is what she did in slo-motion, more or less, we can still feel the loss. I agree she probably got what was coming to her, but it is still unfortunate.

I know what it's like to have a monkey on my back. For some reason, I was able to control mine (and eventually kill it), and she wasn't.

fyi... if you put two "S" 's at the end of "Prince" it would indicate a female gender

    As opposed to "Princess"?

Prince's would indicate more than one Prince. You should brush up on your grammar, Times Roman.

Do you feel the same way when a bodybuilder dies through using diuretics?

Glad someone mentioned it, because like it or not, AS's are illegal (in a lot of countries) substances that people put in themselves for aethetic/athletic purposes. One drug is cooler than another?

I couldn't agree with you more on this point, we shouldn't feel sorry for Amy Winehouse because she took heroin, coke and God knows what else, but we should mourn the passing of a wrestler or bodybuilder who suffers a heart attack in their early 30's?
