Hello all,

I ruptured all the ligaments in my knee around 6-7 years ago playing football and went from 14st to over 18st along with a massive loss in confidence and just about everything else i had...

I`ve had 3 operations on my knee so far and 2 scans, had my meniscus repaired twice and my ACL repaired, but my LCL still needs repairing and my meniscus needs triming/removing.

I am now waiting for a date for my next operation witch i think is keyhole as the NHS love to mess around.

I`m now around 16st, but want to get down to 14 again! my problem is doing anything other than body weight exercises results in me needing an ice pack on my knee and a day or two of work (being self employed i can`t afford this) this also includes doing cardio, i can manage low resistance exercise bike, but thats about it.

I really want to lose this weight and try and get back to how i was before the game of football that ruined my life, I know that when i eventually have the LCL repaired i`ll be out of action for a long time but will hopefully be worth it.

At the moment i`m sat writing this full of pain killers with an ice pack on my knee, after trying some LIGHT leg extensions, lunges and calf raises last night.

has anyone been in a similar condition and managed to overcome this and change there body for the better?

Thanks
