New creatine tastes nasty...how?

I use Microionized Creatine Monohydrate. The previous one I was using is both tasteless and odourless. This new one by Allmax tastes absolutely nasty. Exact same ingredient : Creatine Monohydrate. Same consistency. Same flavor I'm using in my shake for protein powder. My mind is boggled. Can anyone explain ?

Neither are flavored. They are literally the exact same product minus the name brand which is why I don't understand how they can taste differently.

I can't say for that specific brand. But, I have had the same issue with Creatine from ON. Every now and then I just get one that tastes like s#%t.. Maybe it has something to do with the amount of time it sat on the self or the temperature it was stored at?
