Turning 24 in few months, what to do before first cycle?

Been reading up a lot, I am turning 24 in a few months. Im not quite sure if I want to do my first cycle right when I hit 24. I might want to compete in a few natty shows first, but if I do decide to go with a test-e cycle, what should I do now to prepare for it? Should I continue bulking and eating a lot or go on a cutting cycle and get my bf under 10%?

    Any other advice?

Current bf is around 14% but I genetically can lose it really quick if I incorporate cardio into my workouts.

I like the attitude as it's obvious you don't mind waiting and doing proper prep. What you should do now depends on your goals but i'm going to assume you want to add mass as you stated that dropping your bf% can be done quickly. If that is the case then I would prime for the cycle by dropping your bf% down and really working on getting your diet set to perfection, i.e. writing down what types of meals you want to eat, calculating macro and micro nutritent ratios, etc... Also be sure to include lots of phytonutrients, flavonoids, co-factors, etc..(all can be found in superfoods such as mango, goji berries, camu camu, maca, spirulina), nutrient malnutrition is very rampant in our country and though a proper study hasn't been done on the effects as pertaining to bodybuilders, I would hazard a guess that you want your body to be as primed for growth as possible.

There are several great threads here by marcus300 on priming for cycles if you want more detailed guides

    Thanks Phate,

    Appreciate it.

Yea I worked hard and I want to get as far as I can before I jump into it, its not something I feel I need to do right away. But when I feel like the proper time comes I want to make sure I am well prepared before hand to maximize everything. Ill look into those threads to learn as much as possible.

wow where did you come from...lol....maybe you should give beginner classes to almost everyone else. It takes a smart guy not to just jump in and start popping pills every day to get "HUGE" haha. Good on you bro. Learn as much as you can.... research and cross reference...till you can do no more. then make the most informed decision as to what to take and how. Plenty of good board on the net and let google be your friend. You can also make some pretty good friends on these boards with some very informed minds. Do just that!

24 is a good time to start if you have maximized your natural potential and wish to take things to the next level. Always remember that without proper nutrition and rest your just popping pills and sticking yourself. 80% diet IMO. Gear, taken in the right amounts mind you, will help improve overall muscle structure, increase protein synthesis, and a wide array of other attributes that you will read about in your studies.

If I can give one bit of advise it's >>>> LESS IS MORE. Take a little bit of the right stuff, eat properly, come off properly and you will watch yourself grow my friend.

Thanks man, I actually have been playing sports for most of my teenage years, then got into weight lifting. I put in my time and I understand how the body works. I built a really good base and I know building your body up is a marathon and I rather do things the right way the first time.

I also agree with your last sentence, I dont believe in relying just on this, I look at it as just a boost to help, once everything else is in check and good.
