Exclamation My current Diet, looking for advice!

    Hello all!

As you can see I'm new to this forum and I thought I'd see if I can get any help/advice from the pro's!

I read the above threads so here are my stats...

    Age: 19
    Height: 6 foot
    Weight: 165
    BF%: 10%

I'm trying to get to 8% body fat just for the summer and I'm trying to keep all the lean mass I have without losing most of it. I've been working out for 4 years now but this past year I have started to diet according to my workout and actually read and learned about health and nutrition.

    So here's my diet....

    Meal #1

    2 scoops of Whey protein
    1 tbsp of Peanut butter
    1/2 cup of oats

    Meal #2 (snack)

    2 scoops of casein protein
    2oz of almonds or cashews

    Meal #3

    8oz Chicken breast
1 cup of cooked brown rice

    Meal # 4

8oz chicken breast or 6oz of salmon
    1/2 cup of rice

    Meal #5

    2 scoops of Whey protein
    1 cup of blueberries

    Meal #6 (bedtime snack)

    2 scoops of Casein protein
    2tbsp of peanut butter

Now...My work schedule is not steady so whenever I have to workout I sub in 2 meals with my pre/post workout meal which is...

    Pre-workout meal:

2 cups of egg whites (16 egg whites)
1 half of a large sweet potato or 1 cup of oats

    Post-workout meal:

2 scoops of whey protein isolate
1 half of large sweet potato

Is this a good diet for losing fat while still maintaining my muscle mass, anything I should change?

I'll send you guys a pic soon.

For starters, you need to include the macros (Protein/Carbs/Fats/Calories) of each food item as well as each meal. Secondly, to go straight from 10% to 8% bodyfat you're going to look anorexic at 6 feet. I would consider a lean bulk instead :trying to put on mass and maintain your bodyfat in order to look more cut without looking unhealthy. At 6 ft and if you want to be 8% bodyfat and not look deprived of food I think a good benchmark would be around 175-180 lbs off the top of my head.

After you put all the macros it will be easier to help you. At a glance, you have way to many scoops of protein. You should have 1 scoop postworkout and ideally the rest of your diet should be whole foods.

windex do you do well with lean bulks? I always felt like I was robbing myself . I tend to better with either a straight bulk or straight cut. That being said I am not afraid to adjust on the fly so I dont gain too much fat while bulking or lose too much muscle while cutting. When you lean bulk how many calories over do you go ?
