Which is more difficult to recover from - Peak dosage/total mg/duration?

Generally speaking which is harder to recover from out of dosage, total amount of mg per cycle or the length of a cycle.

Obviously 12 weeks on 500mg is harder to recover from than 10 weeks at the same dosage, but what about 8 weeks at 500mg compared to 250mg for 14 weeks for example?

500mg for 8 weeks is more total test but 250 for 14 weeks is longer suppression even though the dosage is less.

Not talking about gains or what is best, just with regards to your HTPA.

    Interested in opinions.

I would think duration but everyone is different and each case is different.

i wouldnt have said duration because you will be shut down fairly early on in a typical cycle, so i dont know how duration affects it. some ppl can recover well some cant, too many variables.

    good question actually

I agree with variables and that everyone is different, but lets say we are talking just in theory and with one person.

He did one experiment, finished pct, had levels checked and then went back in time and tried the other cycle.

It also has a lot to do with what you take.stuff that converts to estrogen easily will shut you down because estrogen inhibits test production just as much as a high test level. so taking something that converts and taking it for a long time will take longer to recover. I have done a lot of 8 week cycles and not taken any PCT drugs and not had a problem recovering.

Too many factors, but duration (eg, on for a year compared to 3 months) would be a largely contributing factor.

How about if we narrow it down to something easier to work out. Lets say we take a generic oral at 50mg for 8 weeks or 80mg for 6 weeks. (2800mg in 8 weeks vs 3360mg in 6 weeks).

We could scale it up for an injectable at 500mg for 16 weeks or 800mg for 12 but lets stick with the oral example.

My instincts suggest that being suppressed/shut down for longer is worse than getting in and out quickly but maybe higher dose/short duration is harsher on the body in general.

    Thoughts?

See, that sounds like a different question now: are you asking which is "harsher" on the body or which is harder to *recover* from?

No the original question stands, which is harder to recover from HPTA wise. The harsher part was just added as an after thought.

No reason why we can't extend the discussion to include both but the primary question is to do with HPTA recovery.

I agree it a great question. But not sure if it can really be answered with certainty

I reckon duration has a big part to play in recovery. That said I am just speculating as I've never ran a cycle past 10 wks, but recovery has always been good for me.

The longer the cycle the harder recovery IMHO, this is from experience and nothing is set in stone with the answer but every time I did I long cycle its was so hard to recover from, it was like chipping away at my natural test after a long cycle and I only ever started to experience issues after long cycles.

Ive also done some seriously high dose cycles but mainly short burst and these were easy to recover from infact I could bounce back with force from most of these but again this would depend on what I was using but more or less high dose for short periods of time were alot easier on my system than long cycles.
