Man its been awhile since I have started a thread on here! But, I always come back to AR when I need help :-) I did see afew threads addressing this kind of problem but didnt want to hijack anybodys thread.
I have been suffering with tendonitis in my left shoulder/rotator cuff for about 10 weeks, it is not getting any better, but isnt getting worse either. I took a week off from training, and have also now grouped chest and shoulder workouts together to give my shoulder more rest. Overhead pressing, most flat chest work and all incline work is being avoided, decline work is fine, as are all other exercises.
I am taking glucosamine sulphate (2,500mg) and chondroitin (600mg) daily (for the past 2 weeks), performing rotator cuff work 2-3 times per week (weighted rotations, static contractions and stretching), warming up thoroughly and not doing anything in the gym that causes it pain yet it still isnt improving. I did use an anti-inflamatory medication for about 3 weeks but stopped as I figured the inflamation would be needed for recovery.
In the past I have suffered with tendonitis in both shoulders once or twice, i found even after a long layoff it would be no better, but it would eventually dissapear when I was working out hard. I also found deca to ease the pain, only for it to never come back once Id finished cycling it. GH also helped on one occasion, and I have not had any shoulder trouble since I finished the GH almost 3 years ago. Until now. I cannot currently afford GH and Deca is out of the question due to drug testing in my sport.
Any further advice on what I could do to sort this out? I miss overhead presses and incline work, and also want to start using some of the olympic lifts :-(
