    Testosterone replacement.. liable?

    sappening forum.

    Age: 19 (20 in January)
    Weight: 192lbs
    Height: 5'11
BF: 10% approx (tested with calippers)

Over the past 8 months i've noticed my testosterone levels drop quite rapidly, mainly being my libido and energy.

I went to my GP to see what was the mishap, he wanted to run some testosterone and other blood tests to see if there was anything out of the ord.

My blood results came back and my doc diagnosed me with hypogonadism. Basically my balls aren't doing it for me any more lol. So the past 8 months, especially in the past 4 i've been having shit workouts, feeling like shit and genuinely having a shit life. The thing is about a year ago i wanted to nail anything in site and felt my natural testosterone was sky high.

Anyway, i'm not here too look for comments like "dnt start test til ur 21 u wil not grow!!1" im just here for information and guidance lol. I've never thought of using steroids and have always relatively been against them but i feel i'm being forced into taking TRT as i can't go on living like this.

The doc has told me that the highest dosage he can provide me is 100mg / week and i'm currently on a six week waiting list for this to happen.

Just wondering what my testosterone levels would be like @ 100mg / week?

My brother who's 26 has done many cycles and he's recommended me taking at least 150mg/ week.

So basically is it worth waiting 6 weeks for a 100mg a week dosage or starting my own TRT at about 150-200mg a week asap?

Any potential health risks etc would be great, again i'm not looking to be trolled in this thread just want to do this properly.

i dont know why there would be a waiting week for your dr.
But 100mg a week is plenty. That puts me just over the normal limit

im in the same boat as you, but am on hcg therapy plus other things but no test, there are alternnatives to taking test this young trust me knowing you need to jab yourself every week for your whole life is not very fun
i would talk to him about hcg, if your dhea is low than that too, check your thyroid (rt3 especially and free t3), prolactin also, you need to find the whats causing the problem first, dont jump the gun like i did, but luckily things are looking up now so either way your life will get better

Yeah i've done some research and thought that 100mg would be a safe dosage.

Just wondering if this dosage would mess up my natural testosterone levels or cause any major health issues for my age..? I know its hard to judge but what are some things i should be looking out for.

Yes its going to shut down your natural test production. That why it is call testosterone replacement therapy. I would follow what the dr says. Hopefully at your age there are other options. You dont want trt for life

Head on over to the HRT/TRT subforum.

TRT is for life. Talk to your doc and determine if you have primary hypogonadism or secondary. If it's secondary, there may be alternative treatments (clomid therapy, hCG therapy, etc etc) that may work. Don't jump into anything.

If you do start TRT, 100mg a week (once a week injections are as infrequent as you should go on Cypionate) is a PERFECT starting point. Fortuneately, 100mg puts me in the perfect range even without an aromatase inhibitor. Bloodwork will reveal is the dosage is sufficient or not.

At 19, you shouldn't be experiencing any sort of hypogonadism. I seriously suggest you find a capable endocrinologist who can help you find/cure the problem, rather than just treat the symptoms with TRT. Trust me, you don't want to be on it.

Unless I'm wrong, the OP never mentions whether he's done cycles in the past without proper PST. This could be the culprit if so. If that's the case his levels may never rebound to where they should be & TRT would be his only option. I understand he's young, but TRT isnt the nightmare some here are making it out to be (WTF?). Anyway, regardless, the OP needs to find a qualified Endo that can diagnose what is happening & take the necessary action(s). Doesnt sound like he has one currently with the "6 week" BS he's being told. You can't go this alone either, especially being so young. My $0.02...

    So...what are your test levels?
Surely you've had a blood test.

Not to discredit or question your GP, but an endocrinologist may be a better route to go.. I'd see what a specialist says before deciding to replace my hormones for life.. just my .02

I wasn't saying it's from the result of running past cycles. I'm simply saying rather than just treating the symptom which is the low testosterone, he needs a specialist that will help him find what exactly is the cause of the problem. Any doctor worth their money should use be trying to avoid TRT treatment on a 19 year old. It should be a last resort.

I read from another poster on this site that he had real problems producing testosterone at 10% body fat, when he went back up to 12% body fat, he felt great, maybe do a search on "body fat" to see if you can find it.

Your body might just not be suited to correct function on 10% body fat.

You might also consider a PCT, the action of Clomid and Tamoxifen is still applicable to boost your test production, regardless if you have never taken steroids.

6wk waiting list for what? Def go get second opinion or see endo doc. LIke other posts said, you want to avoid HRT unless it is your only option.
