    Ufc rio

Well this saturday the spyder fight Okami..I cant stand Silva!!!

I think he is overated and just has guys on spook because he is elusive and has an unorthodox style. IMO he is just an overconfident fighter who gets real lucky..
Chael Sonnen kicked his ass in UFC 117 the entire fight. Go WP... But got a lucky submission with the fight about to end!!!

As usual I will be betting against Silva and hope to finally win.

I want to fight him just to see what all the "magic" is about!!!
Seriously I think his reputation causes fighters to fear him..to doubt whether they can beat the "SPyder" and anyone who fights knows that is half the battle. If you go into a fight thinking you are going to be beat...YOU WILL BE!!!!

Like him or not he is the best p4p fighter. Jones is looking good but I have to see more of his fights to really tell. I like Jones cuz he is a stand up guy in all respects. Silva is just an amazing fighter. He is like a cat playing with mice. of course he can be beat and if he sticks around for too much longer he will get beat a lot. He is 36 and it is time to retire. Chael beat him up (kinda, not a scratch on the guy but Sonnen was bloodied) but he went into the fight with a bacterial infection and a cracked rib.

Dam it!!! I once again bet against the winning horse!! I guess I am just irritated at the fashion of his wins.. I just dont see how it happens. From a physical standpoint he is not impressive and most of the KO strikes look weak and non threatening...Seriously I would fight him given the chance...I guess... I would get my ass kicked..even though i dont see how, but I would like to see how it happens, first hand experience..Then maybe I could support his wins.

None the less I admit for now... he seems unstoppable.

his punches don't look all that bad, although I'm sure they'd wreck sh*t..
but those face kicks look damn painful...
I like how he stunned okami and let em recover the first time instead of jumping on him and ending it sooner.. I dunno if its good sportsmanship or just over confidence

See that is what I am talking about..how many people has he KO with a jab? Crazy!! Yeah def the kicks would hurt but I have seen bigger guys deliver harder "looking" kicks and the guys just shrug it off..
He is I guess an enigma..

He stunned him the first time and let him recover, the second time he realized Okami wanted nothing to do with it so he just went for the win. You can see it if you watch the replay, he sits back and when Okami does nothing he just goes back at him.

Ever wrestle with a little kid? You know how they wind up their punches and telegraph everything so you can literally grab their hand? This is what I imagine Silva to be like somewhat. He just has lightning fast reflexes and his accuracy is second to none. This is why he can avoid and counter and hit the opponent right on the button every time. He isn't that strong he's just super fast and killer accuracy.

If I were a very competent fighter and I were to fight Silva I would go out there and try to kick him in the balls. Obviously make it look like an accident but hopefully I wouldn't get disqualified and that would throw him off his game. His reflexes were not as good when he fought Sonnen and I am chalking this up to his bacterial infection and cracked ribs. Now if someone can throw him off his game a little bit I think that might do it... OR it will make him pissed off and he will treat you like he did Demian Maia. The other way to beat him is wait for him to get old and slow.
My bets on the guys who have a chance to beat him: Jose Aldo and Bones Jones. However I think if those guys let him get comfortable in the ring then they have a big problem. Rush from the beginning and don't stop, close the distance and keep the pressure on. Trying to sneak in is gonna get you caught.

Silva is the best pound for pound fighter in the world right now and imo that has ever lived. He's 36 and killing it.
