I am still unsure but i always go full range of motion. Why do i keep coming across people lifting like this? Am I missing something?

The dude is huge but I dont get it either....anyone?
He's working real hard on a back injury...
I apologize if I am posting this in wrong section but I just wanted to find out if any one of you guys has been a victim of online scam. I have recently been ripped off about $4000. I am really frustated and wanted to know where to report.
i think the spoon and fork are making full rom's
It has to do with the muscles time under tension. By not letting the weight all the way up on lat pull, the back does not get a chance to relax during the set. By not bringing the elbows behind the lats, he is keeping the work load on the lats and not letting the smaller muscles in the back take over at the end of the rep.
The theory is basically the opposite of rest-pause. Not saying its right or wrong, but there is a theory and reason behind doing it for any exercise.
Agreed. Its all about constant tension on the muscle. It works great every now and then. I always see people locking out, IMO you should never lock out 95% of the time.
It has nothing to do with that. Time under tension is relative to anyworkout and full r.o.m should always be used. Full range doesnt mean your stopping tension/contraction at a certain point. Its pure ego and just because sombody eats alot and juices super hard doesnt mean they know wtf they are doing. I see huge guys all the time with terrible form and shortened Range. If you do not use full r.o.m you will most likely end up with an injury.
No I only watched the first few seconds. I know what most guys are talking about when they refer to partial reps, and when I started the video, I saw the lat pulldowns and thought "yep, got it" and stopped watching the video.
I'm just replying to your post, 2/3rds is not full ROM, but it will kick your arse. The guy in vid is power lifter, I dont think he cares too much about muscle size.
This guys trains like a guy at my gym.... Like a dick
Those bent over rows are dreadfull and so are the shrugs and especially the overhead presses.
If he is a powerlifter and doing these assistant exercises he should still do them right.
He whole shorterning the rom is generally bull IMO... At least it is for me and the way I train, which is not as a PL but IMO It doesn't make much difference
Short ROM with heavy weight once in a while is a good way to overload but IMO should not be done all the time
are we watching the same guy and same video?? looks like he knows how to get big and strong with whatever the fk hes doin
I think he spends to much time injecting gear and not enough in the gym. Yeah he is big but??? I could only watch part of the 1st vid, his form is painful and just wrong.
is he doing one of those, 'how not to do it, vids?
i think this is a joke
keeping the tension on a muscle does not have the same effect as contracting in full range. there are certain fibers being used at various points in the movment. I will say exhaustion is def certain if you do not lockout and works great for bench press and military press...but those rows he was doing was straight crap.
