    i thought where it was held was disgraceful and a cage isnt necessary imo, with a bunch of drunken yobs cheering it on. but as far as kids taking part in this, we cant say its much diff than say judo or karate?

    it should be regulated and held in leisure centres

    at first i thought wtf, kids shouldnt be doing this then i rem'd kids do boxing, karate, judo etc etc.

    it was where it took place that mattered, a shitty run down pub and a bunch of yobs on the piss (and prob betting on kids) goading and baying at them instead of encouraging in a coaching fashion.

    MMA has taken over as far as combat sports go, but the youngsters shouldnt be taking part in an unregulated venue such as that

    Dude really? From someone that grow up doing combats sports, there is a big difference between training under an instructors guidance and having a full on brawl.

    No kids should be taking head shots.

    No punching or kicking was allowed. It was all grappling and wrestling.

    Really, what is the difference between this and sending your 8 year old kid to sparring at the local gym on kickboxing night?

    I question that this was a "monied event", but it really doesn't seem any worse than kids learning judo or karate. I mean they spar there, so what is the difference?

    My bad man, I saw "Cage Fighting" in you post. I could not get the link open and did not spend the time reading anything. Lol...I come on here in brief sessions while at work to in order to easy my ADD.

    I think all boys should be wrestling, my will be as soon as they can walk.

    Wrong venu, but I heard on news here that there was no striking allowed, just wrestling. Pretty tame compared to some martial arts. Should have head gear on though, some of the slams could do damage to a young kid.

    It looked like typical wrestling to me minus the head gear. What's wrong with the cage? Looks nice and it keeps the stupid parents/spectators from jumping in and doing something stupid.
