Protein Shake before sleep and during sleeping

So im 5 11" 68kg, and i'm bulking. I hate wasting food/ pooping the extra food out cause my body didnt absorb.
Exactly before I go to sleep i take 1.5 scoops of Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey and after like 5-6-7 hours when my eyes open, i take another 2 scoops and then continue sleeping for total of 10-10.5 hours.

    1) Am i eating a lot of protein or should I decrease?
    2) If I switch to casein(powder) will it make a big difference?

ps. I dont take casein because i dont have the budget for it.
pss I dont eat cottage cheese before cuz i take this pill that contains Zinc, Magnesium and Calcium. So I want the Zinc to be absorbed.

Casein would help for sure. Gold standard is absorbed much faster than casein. With casein your body would be getting protein as you sleep. Some people even take casein throughout the day. So I would say it makes a difference..

    1) I couldn't tell you if your eating alot of protein unless I see the rest of your diet but it's fine what you are doing with the shake before bed and in the middle of your sleep.

    2) I personally prefer casien as it takes up to 6 hours to break down over night instead of whey which is broken down in 20 mins. If you can't afford it look into eating cottage cheese before bed it may be a cheaper option.

I only have whey PWO and as soon as I wake up. Casein before bed, I make a shake by putting 200g of cottage cheese(no sugar or fat) 2 scoops chocolate ON casein protein, small dash of cinnamon and 350mls of water. Blend until smooth. Its the only way I can consume cottage cheese. you might want to lower protein to suit your needs.

Whey before bed won't do much as it's absorbed in about 30 minutes. Casein would be the way to go, or at least a protein blend containing some casein.

Why won't your body absorb zinc if you eat cottage cheese?

I read that taking zinc with calcium will stop the zinc absorbtion.
