    BB protein to australia?

BB now have a protein store section for Australia which is guaranteed to make it through customs but they have limited variety of brands.

If I was to buy protein from the normal store section would it still make it through Australian customs?

They will not allow your order to be processed unless it's the spacific brands they have allowed. I have tried a few times and the order wouldn't go through. Also with protein powereds sometimes the freight is ridiculus and cheaper to buy local. They wouldn't even let me order universal animal pak. There is another site that will ship alot more into Australia with cheaper prices. I'll pm you if you like.

Whats the difference in quality between OS brands and local anyways? The whey I buy down the road is awesome so why cough up extra coin for freight etc? Secondly, why would Aussie Customs be interested in protein imports?

There are no differences between what you get here and from os. Some freight costs more than the protein itself.

Aussie customs may not let some products through due to licensing laws that only allow for specific distribution by licensed wholesalers to Australian retailers.

I understand the bit about licensing, as the same thing recently happened with purchasing ski/snowboard gear from the US. You cant import the big brands like Burton anymore. But with regards to protein from OS, can it still be cheaper to buy protein and pay for shipping than to buy locally? I've never looked into buying from OS because the supps shop near my work, while a little pricey, has an excellent range or products.

Just curious why Aussies would opt for the import over local.

I looked at ordering protein from the states and with freight it ended up costing around the same as you would get here locally. But I think that if you look at Aussie sites online especially one in particular (not sure if I'm allowed to post the link but will pm if anyone asks) they are much cheaper than the supplement stores.
