Vodka and soda is fairly low in calories
Avoid it if possible but If you must Blueberry stoleys and club soda is my preferred choice! Just don't go overboard! lol
When I was still drinking it was gin and tonic for me.
I'm not one of those guys who will say not to drink alcohol ever, I love alcohol and try to keep it in moderation but remember this.
Alcohol has 7 calories per gram. There are 28 grams in 1 ounce so a 1.5 ounce shot or drink of 80 proof liquor has 117 cals just from the alcohol, plus whatever cals from other ingredients in that liquor plus whatever you mix it with.
In addition to the calories, your body will not burn any other fuel source other than acetate (this is what your body converts alcohol to), as long as acetate is present ie. glucose and fats ingested will be stored or remain in the bloodstream temporarily until being stored.
Alcohol has been shown to dramatically decrease protein synthesis.
It also blunts nutrient absorption which is why many alcoholics are malnourished.
Alcohol for a bodybuilder = kryptonite. LOL.
All that being said, my current drink of choice to minimize negative effects is vodka + sugar free red bull.
