Question concerning carb intake on non training days

Hey guys, im currently bulking and trying to limit the majority of my carb intake to breakfeast, PWO shake and PWO meal. My question, on non training days, how should my carb intake be scheduled? Also im assuming there should be a lower amount(less energry needed, no glycogen depletion).

    Thanks for any help

What are your reasons for limiting carbs to just 3 meals on a bulk? This type of carb intake is normally reserved for cutting diets.

Are you working out after breakfast?

Are you trying to lean bulk vs. straight out bulk? If so I can see why maybe carbs are only in those 3 meals. That said, depending on your caloric needs, it may be difficult to get what you need, carb wise, crammed into 3 meals. You may want to spread your carbs across all meals with the exception of bedtime.

Non training days - you may want to reduce calories slightly (zig zag dieting) via carbs - i'd probably eat AT maintenance on these days, and above on training days. Keep protein the same throughout.

Alternatively, you may want to eat at maintenance on training days, and ABOVE on rest days - allowing full recovery/repair on rest days, while keeping body fat in check during training days.

There are many ways to skin a cat; you have to find what works for you through trial and error.

Thanks for all the helpful info guys. Yea I am attempting a clean bulk and in the sticky "how to bulk", I saw that the sample diet recomended only 3 carb meals.

I'd be interested to see your meals and macro breakdowns to get the relevant nutrition to bulk.

What are your stats and goals?

Carbs were probally too low and too much fat?

    Meals went like this

Breakfeast: 3 whole eggs scrambleed, 1 packet of oatmeal, whey protein shake w/almond breeze
    Gym
PWO Meal: whole wheat pasta w/ground turkey sauce and whey protein shake w/almond breeze
    Meal 3: Tuna and brocolli
Meal 4: Protein shake (double serving)
    Meal 5: chicken breast w/brocolli
Meal 6: 2 natty PB sandwhiches(whole wheat bread)....was low on carbs thus why I did this
    Meal 7: Cottage cheese

Some of the sticky's are admittedly outdated. That's one of them. We're in the process of updating. In fact, i'm in the middle of working on the 'how to add lean mass' sticky... note it's not called 'bulk'!
