    diet substitutions

What a good substitution for egg whites? I am allergic to them as well as bananas.

Substitution in what way? Like for breakfast or just for a cheap protein source?

Well, I have a diet that calls for egg whites that I am going to try so I guess it's for protein. I am thinking of substituting it with my favorite mass building protein, albacore tuna, but then again, maybe I need another type of protein source like beans.

Any lean protein could be substitute.

If it's for Meal 1, then you could have whey...unless you're inclined to eating chicken/tuna/turkey/lean gr beef/etc/etc in the am.

For protein you can't go wrong with skinless, boneless chicken breast. Albacore is fine every now and then, but it has mercury in it and having it too often might be a bad idea. Beans do have protein and great complex carbohydrates and fiber but I would consider them a carb and not a protein food. Why not post up that diet?

Here you go. It's below. Let me know what you think.

    830-9am 1 scoop whey, 2 oz Grapefruit juice , 8oz cup coffee

10-1015am 4 oz turkey, 1 cup cooked steel cut oats, 1/4 cup almonds

    12:30pm 7oz chicken, 2 cups brown rice

    3-330pm 1.5 cups turkey/ 12oz sweet potato

5pm (pre- workout ) 1 scoop whey, 2 white rice cakes

    7:30(post- wkout) 1 scoop whey

8:30-9 7 oz White fish, 1 cup of mixed greens, carrots, prune , 1 tspn olive oil
