I have finally convinced her that its important to eat while working out in order to see any muscle gains. Prior to convincing her to eat more protein, veggies, carbs at the right parts of the day her diet wasnt that great. Her old diet consisted of maybe 2 meals a day, a lot of pop, and candy. Her stats are as follows.
5 foot
96-101 lbs.
pretty much skinny with little muscle. She managed to stay thin because of the lifting and little food consumption.
Anyway now that we have her eating more and still lifting she is starting to gain weight but we want to make sure its good weight she is gaining (shes currently 112-113). Shes starting to hold some more weight in her hips and butt(fat not muscle). Our question is what would be a good base line diet to stay lean while still gaining muscle. I have done much research for myself but never much for the female side. Any advice or sample meal plans are greatly appreciated.
