I dont understand the reasoning for weekly weigh ins? Usually a weigh in is done once before a fight, then as soon as its over, consume electrolytes and water before the fight. It is dangerous to be water depleted, and really not good for a fighter. I would not recommend carb depletion for a fighter either, thats just stupid! Either move
up a weight class if you can't maintain your weight within 2kgs or look for a different sport.
