Armidex - when to discontinue use

How long does Arimidex take to work/stop working? Specifically, if used as part of a blast, when should one discontinue use after resuming normal TRT dose? Example:

Blasting test at 600mg/week, running .5 arimidex/day to control estrogen. The blast ends, and the following week you resume normal TRT dose of 150mg/week. At what point should you drop the armidex? The last day of the blast? 2 weeks after, which is the time it would normally take to start PCT with test e? Some time later?

Unless you are gyno prone you will probably be ok without it at that dose....

If you do wish to still use it start and 0.25mg EOD and run up until the end of the blast


Adex works verry quickly for me and if i get a flare up of gyno I can almost clear it after a single 1mg dose. So dont worry too much about gyno, so long as you have the AI to hand you should be fine

you can stop after the blast. .5mg ed is alot. do you have estro problems?

The only symptoms I was having was a complete loss of sex drive and very weak/soft erections at 600mg/week. I started arimidex at .25mg/day and saw no improvement. I bumped it to .5mg/day and saw results, though i still needed Cialis.

I'm now 2 weeks out of the blast, and am having very weak erections again. I'm trying to pinpoint why. The last day of the blast I dropped to .25mg/day, and after a few days started losing erection quality. I thought maybe I'd dropped the arimidex too early, so for the last 4 days I've gone back to .5mg/day. No improvement yet. I typically see results with AIs within a few days...

I'm thinking I need to just drop the arimidex completely for a week or so and see if I get any improvements. I know at 150mg Test/week TRT dose I wont need nearly that much arimidex. Before the blast I was fine (still needed Cialis sometimes though.) A very similar issue happened to a friend of mine recently, and he is still trying to figure it out.

i stopped it gradually as to avoid rebounding. went from .5 eod to .25eod and discontinued one week after my last cycle injection

How long would the effects of rebounding last? Having spiked estrogen for a period of time wouldn't be much better than my current predicament. Should I try to taper down the dex? Or just quit because Ive used it for so long now. (full blast + 2 weeks now)

As a followup question, how long does it take for the effects of the Arimidex to leave your system? I know that the half life is 2-3 days, so the drug should be gone within a week. Should I notice improvements before the week is up? Or will it take time after the week is over to see results?

Why dont you just use some Nolvadex to deal with the estrogen rebound untill your body stabilizes. bloodwork would tell you where your estrogen and test levels are at.
