Im curious about peoples opinions on intermittent fasting. Ive been following a schedule based on the "lean gains" approach for almost a month now with my 8 hour feeding window from noon until 8pm seven days a week and lifting in the early am around 530 til 615ish. I dont count calories or track macros but i make sure i get ALOT of protein from whole foods chicken, pork, beef etc. I dont supplement with anything but a preworkout. Not even whey. My goal in attempting this type of dieting was to.just try something new and see if it works and so far ive dropped 3 pounds but my my biggest concern at first was losing strength due to fasted training but i havent and as a matter of fact in some lifts ive even gotten stronger. BTW i changed my routine and now stick to compound movements deads, presses, weighted dips and weighted chins/pullups. I dig this program and was just wondering if anybody else has any experience and id also like opinions on whether something like this would run well with a cycle. I also eat close to 3000 cals a day im guessing. Im going to continue until i hit a plateau then probably start monitoring cals and macros. Oh yeah, i dont do cardio either.
