is being sore the only indication of good workout

sometimes i feel like i go all out on the weights (heavy weight too) and i dont feel that soreness the next day, i mean i obviously feel like i worked that particular bodypart out because i can feel it tense or sore or whatever you wanna cal it

so is being the sore the next day or day after that the only indication that you had a good workout?

lactic acid build up in the muscle is not a desired condition to cause, it's a sign of over training, not training for strength or size..

unless you are doing lactic acid conditioning to cause a GH pulse (and dont' try that) and not even if you are doing endurance training is it wise or necessary..

what are your goals in training??

That's interesting... i'm always pretty disappointed if i'm not at least a little sore. I mean if you are working to failure, then aren't the muscles likely going to get sore from set after set of failing?

Cardio. Don't stop weights, but if you want to drop to 10% BF, you need to be doing a good amount of cardio along with eating right. You knew that answer. Run before breakfast. Eat breakfast. Go to work. Lift. Go to sleep. Eat 5-6 meals a day. You'll get there. Fitness is so simple. It's the willpower to actually go through with it that makes it hard for everyone. You want to get big/strong? Lift hard. You want to lose weight? Cardio.

long term gains are the best indication of a good workout. Pain is not always good and if you think the wrong pain is good pain you may be having bad workouts that you think are good.
