    new "before" pics

    hey all;
    these are my "before" pictures for next year! I'm open to any crits - I do need posing work, have to get the lighting and camera angle right (my feet look unusually large...hehehehe)

    Im going to start a new cycle in De***ber and take regular progress pics. i have a hernia operation scheduled for tuesday so no serious lifting for about a month :-(

    Thanks guys - yeah 2012 should be a good year for me. I'm finally starting to figure out how the body works and how exercise and nutrition support growth. and of course supplements. I'll psost up some progress along the way - and dig out my pics from 4 years ago when I had whopping 15" biceps! hahahahaha Just got to work on the lats and legs in the next few months to add some size.

    i agree with 12elapse; you need to stay LEAN! especially at your age, it is much much more difficult to lose that stubborn fat the older u get, your main priority should be to get those abs back, THEN consider adding mass. and chiks always dig a six pack on an old geezer haha

    dudes - u almost made me cry... lol - yeah I have no Idea where my BF is atm - I'm wearing tite size 36 pants and I was comfortable in 32's a year and a half ago. But that was at 185. Anyways I am def going to try to keepit lean, but want to gain more muscle so haveto eat a caloric surplus. Fine balance. meanwhile im off lifting for a month cause of hernia surgery - that suks bg time! only 3 days so far - ill see how it goes cardio should be fine....

    Old guys rule! But I agree with Vishus it takes forever for us to get lean when we are in our 50's. I am sure you will succeed based on your determination and attitude, but start early on the diet and give yourself plenty of time. Best of luck to you bro. Looking forward to the updates and good luck with the surgery

    Thanks bro - I'm not too worried about what Vishus said - he's prolly some 150lb young kid still in high school who's never lifted a weight in his life and thinks "dieting" is eating the quarterpounder with SMALL fries... I'm looking to get ripped so I can get on the cover of the new AARP "Muscle & Hernia"magazine....

    Ok so i have a twisted sense of humor... you guys are right of course. Vishus just likes to poke fun at me cause he knows in his heart that girls really dig the older guys with bellybutton hernias and not the young studs like him...hahahahaha

    Thanks bros - keep after me with a big stick next year if i stray too far! BTW 3 days out from surgery I am doing bicep curls and forearm work... next week its calves, but I am staying away from any mid section stress for at least 4 weeks. And i have a beautiful steamed cod and brown rice supper! LOL - Got to make the most of this!

    LOL - I'm just yankin his chain - he's a beast and he knows it so i think he can take a little $hit from me.... You, on the other hand, seem to have quite large breasts in your avatar. Are those natural or enhanced? nice tats also....

    hey all
    Quick new years update- hernia repair is healing nicely and I am getting back into some core work after 6 weeks off ( I did work arms and calves, a little legs)
    Man it really suks how much strength I lost - i did 2 sets of easy crunches today and was shaking after the second set. They do cut through the abdominal wall, but I didnt expect to be back at square one! Good news is that I am cycling so will recover faster. Best thing is that for the first time in like a year,I will be able to balance my ab and back strength! That should be huge for overall well being. Wierdest thing? I have to tape a marble in my belly button at night so it remains an "innie" LOL - How strange is that? hahahahaa

    here's an update pic from yesterday. And Yup i do have substantial belly fat to lose....
