I read about that. It made me sad. I am on drives like that all the time and often wondered what would happen if someone lost it. We did have someone go over a small cliff, but it was just a Boxter. I only make fun because the two people in the car survived.

I used to ride and think it is just too dangerous for me now. Riding in this town is horrible because nobody can drive, everyone seems to have just moved here and doesn't know their way around, tourists are everywhere and everyone drives like an idiot as soon as a drop of rain hits the asphalt. Plus, it is very dry here, so as soon as some water hits the ground it just floats on top of all the oil and other fluids that cars have been dumping while stopped at the intersections. Very dangerous for bikes. Oh yeah, and they don't paint the thick lines for crosswalks any more. They are slippery reflective tape. Stupid.

jez, that sounds like a challenging surface!! nothing as bad as hitting diesel spill, i just kinda clench my ass and hope the tyres hold through it.
