Alright, so sometime in the last 48 hours I got my wallet stolen. Here is the story then tell me the logic behind this thief's thought process:
I only keep my wallet in two places
(A) Front pocket
(B) Backpack
I put it in my backpack while I'm at school (put it in before going to school that is), hidden in a compartment inside of another compartment. I never take it out in the public/open, and the only people who would know where to look would be friends but even then it's moreso I'm opening my packsack and "digging" through then pulling out the wallet. All my friends know I never keep cash on me, and I never let my credit card leave my sight in my front pocket. There is literally nothing of value in there. A now useless blockbuster card, my ID, and maybe a grocery receipt. Adding on, I almost never study alone and the people I study with are the juiceheads from the gym. These mofos are like 6ft2, 240lbs, 10% bodyfat type of deal with veins popping out their veins (small hyperbole but you get the point). The icing on the cake ? Beside my wallet was a buddy's perscription I got him for pain killer meds ($300.00 value - IDK if I'm allowed to say name)
So, the thief is obviously someone who was/is my friend, found a small niche opportunity to go through my packsack, and had the balls to steal knowing my friends & leaving the prescription alone, AND knew there's nothing worth stealing in there.
All in all, WTF ? I'm frustrated cause the wallet was a gift from my grandmother (who passed away last year) and simultaneously mindboggled for the above reasons.
